NHS Sensory Garden in Goosenargh is officially opened
After a few weeks of seemingly continuous rain, the clouds parted and the day of the opening of the NHS sensory garden 'Thyme and Space' at Whittingham Hospital, Frank Gardham House was here.
The garden has been part funded by the King's Fund and partly by Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Chairman of the trust, Jo Darbyshire, Chief Executive: Professor Heather Tierney-Moore and Director: Shirley Saunders and representatives of the King's Fund all attended the opening.
Frank Gardham House specialises in the care for sufferers of Huntingdon's disease. The sensory garden space has been created to provide tranquillity and stimulation for the patients, carers and staff at Frank Gardham House in Preston.
