N.H.S. Frank Gardham House pod concept

NHS: Frank Gardham House

 

Sensory garden for the NHS Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust part funded by The King's Fund. The garden, called 'Thyme and Space' is located Frank Gardham House at Whittingham Hospital.

 

The project started late 2008 but was completed and opened on Monday 30th November 2009. Chairman of the trust, Jo Darbyshire, Chief Executive: Professor Heather Tierney-Moore and Director: Shirley Saunders and representatives of the King's Fund all attended the opening.

Frank Gardham House specialises in the care for sufferers of Huntingdon's disease. The sensory garden space has been created to provide tranquillity and stimulation for the patients, carers and staff at Frank Gardham House in Preston.
